MUSICIAN
I am an all-rounder, and this website is my factory.
I specialise in Composing, Songwriting, Performing and Producing for not just myself but for other creative individuals. I enjoy composing for screen media, such as Film scoring, TV show soundtracks and documentaries.
My Composing and Songwrting Story
I was between 11 and 12 years old when I first started playing piano. At first, it was only a simple hobby, but after my lifestyle of musical theatre and dance was ended abruptly by an injury, I decided to take the instrument on a more serious journey. I didn't study Music when I got to my final school GCSE exams, but instead went to college, where songwriting and composing original music became second nature to me. There, I created my first EP and Album all through COVID on very little equipment and technology. During that time, I became the drummer in a small grunge and indie rock band. Though I was self-taught and at the time barely played before, the other musicians thought I played well enough to join them. Now, many years later, I have expanded my instrument repertoire, picking up guitar and bass.
My Performance and Production Story
I started performing at the age of 6 with a musical theatre company. After I left, I was always taking part in the school choir and productions. To begin with, I had a very high vocal range and was originally a Soprano vocalist; however, my voice and vocal cords matured too quickly for my age when I hit puberty, so my vocal range went down to near alto range, meaning I struggled singing female key songs and settled more comfortably when singing songs in male keys. Over the years, with all the songs I have created, my voice has made each of them special and one of a kind. Production was taught to me in college. Introducing me to several different professionally used DAWs to create my final two college major projects. As I was on a performance course, recording and working in a studio was mostly self-taught, with some support from tech students I befriended. Listening to the songs back over the years I've been at university, I could hear so clearly how far I've improved in quality and skill.
